State Girls U18 and U12 Championships and Fun Tournaments

Come along and  play in the State Girls Under 18 or Under 12 Championships

Monday 12th July and Tuesday 13th July 2021.

9am – 3pm

or come for a day and choose the one-day fun event.

Played at the Chess Centre of South Australia, 10 Ranelagh St, Adelaide 5000

All free – including the pizzas! thanks to sponsorship by the Evelyn Koshnitsky Memorial Trust

We want to have as many girls playing as possible and will have Women’s Fide Master Giang Nguyen on hand to give advice, play simultaneous games and explain how it is to play in 6 Women’s Chess olympiads!

We will also have WFM Chi Phan, co-winner of the recent Australian Allegro Championship and selected to represent Australia in the coming Women’s World Cup which unfortunately she cannot now attend, helping on the Tuesday!!

And for the younger girls, we will have Lily Weston, a former Australian Girls Champion, giving lots of ideas.

These days will be suitable for girls aged 6 and above and parents are very welcome to stay all day or simply collect around 3pm.

Pizza lunches will be provided free. The Chess Centre will open on both days at 8:30am if parents need to go to work.

The State Girls Championships will be very suitable for those players who have had some experience playing tournament or school chess but the fun tournaments will be ideal for new players or those who want to try out their skills for the firs time.
