Zina Koodrin

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Zina Koodrin. Zina was a vital member of the chess community and the South Australian Chess Association. For more than thirty years Zina has helped the our community grow – in no small part by her incredible service as our Chess Centre manager.

Zina always loved chess, and despite many hardships and struggles never let them show with her dedication and passion for the game and her behind the scenes involvement.

All of Zina’s chess family are invited to join in the celebration of her life:

Wednesday the 18th of March, 2026
Funeral Service – 1pm
Burial – 2pm

Enfield Memorial Park
Wattle 1 Chapel
Browning Street

Zina will be sadly missed, but always in our loving memories
