2020 City of Adelaide Junior Internet Championships

Under 21 – Wednesday 22nd, 23rd & 24th APRIL 2020 10AM – 4:30PM

The City of Adelaide is open to all players Under 21 – it has a long tradition! – but in 2020 will be played via the Internet. There are three tournaments: an Under 21 tournament as well as an Under 12 and an Under 10 tournament. The Under 21 will be run over 3 Days, while the Under 12 and Under 10 will run for just 2 days, the Thursday and Friday before Anzac Day. 

We will be using a Program called Tornelo!!!!

We were recommending a website called LiChess.org and it is fabulous, but not really designed to run online tournaments. Students will need to go to tornelo.com and register for the tournament – it is easy – and instructions are available on the sajuniorchess.org website. They then simply logon to the website using the following links on the appropriate day.

Schedule Under 21:

2 games daily: 10.00AM – 12:30PM, 2PM – 4:30PM. Clocks will be used with 60 minutes +10 sec/move per player per game. 

limit is 15 minutes per player for the whole game.

Prizes:

U21: 1st Prize – $100.00; 2nd Prize – $50.00; 3rd Prize – $25.00; Other age prizes as well

U12: 1st Prize – $40.00; 2nd Prize – $30.00; 3rd Prize – $20.00

U10: 1st Prize – $40.00 & others depending on entries – the more the better!

Entry Fee – $20 which you pay online when you register online
